About
Born and raised in Chicago, Queen Emoni is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and lifelong creative with more than 30 years of experience transforming ordinary materials into expressive works of art. The name Queen Emoni originated with the royal main character in her children’s book, Over the Fruit Basket, and has since grown into the identity behind her creative vision and emerging brand.
Her passion is rooted in a lifelong appreciation for vibrant colors, beautiful beads, natural materials, and objects collected from around the world. She is especially inspired by seashells and cowrie shells, which were historically used as currency in parts of Africa and continue to symbolize wealth, beauty, and cultural heritage.
Although creativity has always been part of her life, meeting Tony and becoming involved with FashionBar inspired her to fully recognize the value of her natural abilities and pursue her work as a business. Encouraged by friends who had long admired her talent, she began building a brand that reflects her imagination, determination, and belief that a creative dream can become a profitable reality.
Her creative journey extends beyond jewelry. One of the first artworks she sold was a functioning 1930s vintage radio that she restored and redesigned with her own artistic touches. Today, she brings that same imagination to jewelry, clothing, furniture, cabinets, doors, and other custom creations.
The Queen Emoni Collection celebrates originality through colorful, handmade, and custom-designed creations. Every piece is developed with thought, creativity, and what Queen Emoni considers the most important ingredient: love.
Her jewelry is known for bright colors, unexpected materials, cultural influences, natural elements, beads, shells, and a growing interest in working with genuine rawhide leather. Each creation is designed to be one of a kind, with no duplicates unless a customer personally requests one. From waist beads and statement jewelry to wearable art and restored décor, every item becomes part of the larger Queen Emoni creative collection.
